Artist's Comments

My fictional horse character Arouh. He's a palomino Arabian. Done completely in lead.

The head is beautiful, but the mane looks a little lifeless. But that's fixable, if you do the mane with lighter strokes and give it a little more movement. Other than that, great job.

Thanks for the comments. The head's the best part and I agree about the mane. I really don't like it. It looks all wet or something. I'll try to do better on the next ones. ^__^

It's just practice, practice, practice. I've been drawing horses for ages, but there's always something I don't like about the drawings, which is why there's only one horse in my gallery.

Oh I saw your horse picture! I think it's gorgeous. And it's an Arabian too. I like your gallery, your photography and your art is really nice. ^__^

:D Thank you very much. I thought you might like my horsey. When I was younger I was into horses big time and most of my school notebooks have horses running along the edges. ;) Nowadays I don't get to do much with horses anymore and I have other interests, but every now and again I still enjoy drawing horses. Heh. Everyone needs a hobby...

Lovely character. :) It looks very clearly like an Arabian. And palominos, I love them. Pity this drawing isn't coloured. :P
